Local BOX（以下「本アプリ」）は、株式会社エム・ジー・ケイ（以下「当社」）が提供する、電子帳簿保存法に対応した書類保管用のアプリケーションです。本アプリは「書類を手元に置く」という考え方で設計されており、ユーザーが登録した書類や入力内容を当社のサーバーへ送信することはありません。

本ポリシーは、次の2つの入手経路（配布形態）を対象とします。以降、保存場所など経路によって異なる点は、その都度この呼び方で書き分けます。

これらはすべて、ユーザーご自身が入力・登録した情報です。本アプリがこれら以外の情報を自動的に取得することはなく、アクセス解析・テレメトリ・クラッシュレポートの送信機能もありません。広告も配信しません。

データの保存場所とアンインストール時の扱い

上記のすべての情報（書類ファイルの原本、データベース、操作履歴を含む）は、お使いのパソコンの中にのみ保存されます。当社のサーバーへ複製されることはなく、当社を含む第三者がこれらへアクセスすることはできません。保存場所は入手経路によって次のとおりです。

保存場所を変更する機能は本アプリにはありません。保存先は上記のとおり固定です。また、同じパソコンであっても、入手経路が異なる版どうしでデータは共有されません（それぞれ上記の別々の場所に保存されます）。

保護の方法

Mac App Store 版	macOS の App Sandbox によって本アプリ専用に割り当てられた領域（ホームフォルダ内の `Library/Containers/` にある本アプリのコンテナ内の `Data/Library/Application Support/local-box-second-edition/`。`Library` は Finder では「ライブラリ」と表示されます）	アプリ本体を削除しても、上記の領域は自動的には削除されません。完全に消去する場合は、当該フォルダをご自身で削除してください。
Microsoft Store 版	`%USERPROFILE%\.localbox\data\`（＝ `C:\Users\<ユーザー名>\.localbox\data\`）	アンインストールしても、上記フォルダとその中のデータ（書類の原本・データベース）は残ります。これは、電子帳簿保存法が定める保存期間中の書類が、アプリの入れ替えや再インストールで失われないようにするためです。再インストールすると、残っていたデータをそのまま引き続き利用できます。完全に消去する場合は、アンインストール後に当該フォルダをご自身で削除してください。

画面を表示するための通信は、お使いのパソコンの内部（ループバックアドレス 127.0.0.1）に閉じています。この通信はパソコンの外へは出ず、他の機器から接続することもできません。本アプリが外部のサーバーへ接続することはありません。更新の配信は各ストア（Mac App Store / Microsoft Store）が担うため、本アプリ自身が更新の確認を行うこともありません。インターネット接続がなくてもすべての機能をご利用いただけます。

第三者への提供

当社は、本アプリを通じてユーザーの書類・取引情報・アカウント情報・操作履歴を取得しません。したがって、これらを第三者へ提供・販売・開示することもありません。広告配信事業者・解析事業者への提供もなく、本アプリに第三者製の解析用モジュールや広告用モジュールは組み込まれていません。

ただし、法令に基づく開示請求があった場合など、法律上必要とされる場合はこの限りではありません（当社は本アプリのデータを保持していないため、当社が開示できる本アプリのデータは存在しません）。

ユーザーご自身による確認・訂正・持ち出し・消去

子どもの利用について

本アプリは事業者の業務利用を目的としたもので、子どもを対象としていません。子どもから意図的に情報を取得することはありません。

本ポリシーの変更

本アプリに新しい機能を追加した場合など、必要に応じて本ポリシーを変更します。変更した場合は、本ページの内容を改め、冒頭の最終更新日を書き換えて掲載します。重要な変更を行う場合は、本アプリの画面またはサポートページでも併せてお知らせします。本ページは、各ストアに登録したプライバシーポリシーの URL として常に最新の内容を掲載します。

Local BOX Privacy Policy

Overview

Local BOX (the "App") is an application for storing business documents in line with Japan's Electronic Books Preservation Act, provided by MGK, KK (the "Company"). The App is designed to keep your documents on your own computer. Documents and information you enter are never sent to the Company's servers.

This policy covers both distribution channels: the Mac App Store edition (macOS) and the Microsoft Store edition (MSIX, Windows). Where storage locations differ, the relevant edition is stated explicitly below.

Information Handled and Its Purpose

Document files you register (PDF, JPEG, PNG) — for storage, display, and search in line with the Act.
Transaction details attached to documents (counterparty name, the counterparty's qualified invoice issuer registration number, transaction date, amount, document type) — for listing, search, and compliant management.
User account information (name, email address, password) — for sign-in and for managing view/edit permissions.
Operation history (sign-in, view, register, correct, delete) — to retain the correction/deletion history required by the Act.
Business information (company name, address, qualified invoice issuer registration number) if you enter it — for identification and display within document management.

All of the above is information you enter or register yourself. The App does not collect any other information automatically, and contains no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising.

Where Data Is Stored, and What Happens on Uninstall

All of the above (original files, database, and operation history included) is stored only on your computer. It is never copied to the Company's servers, and neither the Company nor any third party can access it. Storage locations differ by edition:

Mac App Store	The App's sandbox container in your home folder (`Library/Containers/<app container>/Data/Library/Application Support/local-box-second-edition/`)	Removing the App does not automatically delete this area. To erase it completely, delete the folder yourself.
Microsoft Store (MSIX)	`%USERPROFILE%\.localbox\data\`	Uninstalling does not remove this folder or its contents (original documents and database). This is so that documents within the retention period required by the Act are not lost when the App is reinstalled or replaced; reinstalling lets you continue with the same data. To erase it completely, delete the folder yourself after uninstalling.

The App provides no setting to change these locations, and data is not shared between editions installed on the same computer.

Protection

Storage resides under your OS user profile and is protected from other users of the same computer by the operating system's access controls (NTFS permissions on Windows; file system permissions on macOS, plus App Sandbox container separation for the Mac App Store edition). Conversely, anyone who can sign in to that computer may access these files within the limits of the OS permissions.
Sign-in passwords are stored as an irreversible hash; neither the Company nor anyone else can recover the original password from the stored value.
Document files and backup files are not encrypted by the App and are stored as-is (a hash value is kept separately for tamper detection). Confidentiality therefore depends on the OS access controls above and on full-disk encryption below.
Enabling full-disk encryption (BitLocker on Windows, FileVault on macOS) further protects data if the device is lost or stolen. We recommend enabling it when handling sensitive documents.
Backup files are created in the location you choose in the save dialog (Downloads by default). Storing and safeguarding them is your own responsibility.

Network Communication

The App communicates only inside your computer (loopback address 127.0.0.1) in order to render its screens; that traffic never leaves your computer and cannot be reached from other devices. The App does not connect to any external server. Updates are delivered by the stores (Mac App Store / Microsoft Store), so the App performs no update check of its own. All features work without an internet connection.

Third-Party Sharing

The Company does not obtain your documents, transaction details, account information, or operation history through the App, and therefore does not share, sell, or disclose them to any third party. There are no third-party advertising or analytics modules in the App. Disclosure required by law is the only exception; because the Company holds none of the App's data, there is no such data for the Company to disclose.

Your Control Over Your Information

You can review registered documents and details at any time in the App; administrators can review the operation history.
You can correct or delete documents in the App. Deleted documents move to the trash, from which they can be restored or permanently deleted. In line with the Act, the record of a correction or deletion (when, by whom, what) is retained.
The backup feature lets you export your documents and data as a single ZIP file, which can also be read back with the restore feature.
To erase everything, uninstall the App and then delete the storage folder listed in the table above. Uninstalling alone does not delete your data in any edition, including the Microsoft Store and Mac App Store editions.
Because the Company holds none of your information, there is no disclosure, correction, suspension, or deletion request to make to the Company; you can carry out all of the above yourself.

Children

The App is intended for business use and is not directed to children.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy as features are added or changed, revising the "Last updated" date on this page. Significant changes will also be announced in the App or on the support page. This page is kept current as the privacy policy URL registered with each store.
